Jan. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Virgina Beach, VA---The Career Engineer's Network (TCE) presents, James Taylor, CEO and chief visionary of the MBE Empowerment Fund, at the organizations Capitol Region Career & Biz Meetup at the Aloft National Harbor in Washington, DC Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm.  The MBE Empowerment Fund was created by the non-profit Virginia Housing and Community Development Corporation (VHCDC), with Taylor at its helm, as a community development venture capital fund designed specifically to target the minority business community.

Taylor and the Board of the Virginia Housing and Community Development Corporation created The MBE Empowerment Fund during the worse economic downturn in US history, since The Great Depression, to empower minority business owners. They seek to secure funding and professional resources for these business owners by encouraging the entrepreneurs, municipalities and others to invest in the Fund. There will be a MBE Capital Call Conference & Venture Forum, held in Richmond, VA in February, again aimed to make certain that a diverse pool of capital and professional resources are available to those entrepreneurs who need it most.
