Gorbel Introduces New G-Jib™: A Smart Alternative to Traditional Work Station Jib/Chain Hoist

Jan. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Gorbel Inc. has expanded their line of G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Devices to include the new G-Jib™, a fusion of the G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Device and an enclosed track work station jib crane.  

How Does it Work?
The G-Force® is an Intelligent Lifting Device that uses an industrial processor controlled servo drive system to deliver unmatched lifting precision and speed.  The G-Jib™ integrates the G-Force® into a work station jib crane.  The actuator of the G-Force® stays in a fixed position near the vertical truss of the crane, eliminating the deadweight that comes with moving a hoist along the rail and creating an easier to move alternative to the traditional work station jib crane/chain hoist combo.  The G-Jib™ maximizes productivity while minimizing the risk of injury to the operator.

Pinpoint Precision and Infinite Speed Control
The G-Jib™ delivers unmatched precision throughout its full range of speed.  This gives the operator the control necessary to finesse expensive or fragile parts.  The G-Jib™ moves with the motion of the operator, going as fast or as slow as the operator chooses to move.  It is ideal for lifting applications that require high speed at some points in the cycle and slow, precise movements at other points.

Easy Movement
Gorbel’s enclosed track work station jib cranes are easier to move and position than traditional I-beam jibs.  The cold-formed, high strength enclosed track design keeps rolling surfaces clean, which contributes to easier movement and longer life.  

Float Mode Option
As with all other G-Force® products, the G-Jib™ can be equipped with Float Mode.  With Float Mode engaged, operators can apply a very slight amount of force onto the load itself to precisely orient loads with both hands throughout the full stroke range.
