Jan. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Every time I go to the market, I am always on the lookout for ways to stuff my kids full of healthy fruits and veggies. Of course the best way is to have a kid like my amazing 13 year old who has always had the pleasure of living with a mature palette. This kid has always been a fan of carrots, broccoli, fish, kiwi and anything I put in front of her. When the second little chickee came along, I was feeling pretty good about what an amazing mother I was to have taught my first daughter to eat a wide variety of healthy fresh fruits and vegetables. I had friends who had to jump through hoops to get their kids to even eat a bite of pizza and I had always, secretly, felt that they were doing something wrong and I was just doing it all right.

So I am sure you are laughing your butt off as you can see where this story is going right? The second little rug rat came along and was absolutely nothing like the first. She weaned herself at 11 months and proceeded to not want to eat anything but cereal or pancakes. It was not until she was 3 years old that we discovered she had a severe allergy to egg whites (which seem to be in everything) which contributed to her picky eating. Still, the only fruits she ate were strawberries and the only veggies she would touch were carrots. Not exactly the basis for a good diet.

My third little girl has proven to be just as much of a challenge when it comes to getting her to eat a diet rich in antioxidant dense fruits and vegetables. I am still trying to figure out what she actually likes to eat in addition to chocolate!

A couple of weeks ago during my weekly trip to the market, I was taking a few extra minutes in the fruit juice aisle, hoping to find a lower sugar version of our organic juice bags, when Apple & Eve Fruitables jumped out at me. What I immediately loved was the fact that each juice box was only 70 calories, contained 1/3 less sugar than other fruit drinks and each drink provides one serving of both fruits and veggies!  I was in love but now I had to make my kids fall in love with Fruitables.

The first thing I did was to make sure I told my kids these new fruit juice boxes would be saved as a reward until they helped get all of the groceries put away.  The next thing I made sure I did was to not tell them about the fruit and vegetables.  Low and behold, every single girlie fell in love with these new, healthy juice drinks.
My 13 year old even jokes that she is still in love with juice boxes. With flavors ranging from Berry Berry, Peach Pear, Apple Carrot, Strawberry Kiwi, and Berry Banana, they all taste great.  Remember these Apple & Eve Fruitables contain absolutely nothing artificial including high fructose corn syrup and don't have that thick feel like some other veggie drinks.

Now they are all in on the secret of how healthy their new favorite drink is and the 4 year old is very proud of herself for making a healthy choice whenever she drinks a Fruitable.  These Fruitables can help fight off infection, maintain a healthy heart system, reduce cancer risks, improve overall brain function and reduce risk for most diseases that plague adults. This is progress.  Thanks Apple & Eve!  Be sure to look for these healthy, yummy Fruitables in your juice aisle and visit the Apple & Eve website at http://www.appleandeve.com/fruitables/ to sign up for their newsletter and receive money saving coupons.
