Spay Day Usa - “Team Partners”

PASS - Noah’s Ark - Mt. Pleasant and YOU

Jan. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- In recognition of Spay Day USA, the team of PASS (Parsippany Animal Supporters Society), Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association, Inc. (Ledgewood) and Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter (East Hanover) want to spread the word about proper spay and neuter practices while educating everyone about the dangers of pet overpopulation.

We are joining with the Humane Society of the United States in promoting awareness and celebrating the 16th Annual “Spay Day USA” 2010 on February 23, 2010.  Spay Day USA takes place each year on the last Tuesday of February.  Created by the Doris Day Animal League (DDAL) in 1995, Spay Day USA became a program of The HSUS when DDAL combined operations with The HSUS in 2006.

Spay Day USA is America's first and ONLY national day of action to promote the spaying or neutering of pets.  During Spay Day USA's first fifteen years, participants spayed or neutered more than 1,386,000 animals!  Since that time, veterinarians and animal welfare organizations have been coming together on the last Tuesday of February.

Dr. Anastasia Ferrante and The Montville Veterinary Group (located at 3 Main Road, Montville) are joining with PASS and Spay Day USA by very generously donating five spay/neuters.  Five candidates will be selected to receive the complimentary spay/neuter for their pets.  PASS is excited to join with Spay Day USA participants who have, potentially, prevented millions of surplus births and saved millions of taxpayers' dollars.  Other local vets in the community will also participating in Spay Day.
