Feb. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- ‘Strong and Forbes’ – open for business and hunting down crime...

Emerald smuggling, corpses, and a detective agency. A sure sign of a new addition to the crime genre, and another exciting tale from John Moon’s ‘Strong and Forbes’ detective series.

'A Bird’s Eye View' soars across the glinting sights of the English Isles, across the Atlantic and all the way to the jungles of Columbia. It is an enticing, detective yarn with a formidable, crime-solving duo.

Daniel Forbes is prowling the Ascot streets for a lucrative case, but it seems his partner has one sitting in the office. Amy Strong is itching to snatch up a cheque, and as Forbes follows, hot on the heels of an emerald pendant, he’s about to realise there’s a lot more to the case than at first glance as well as a lucrative fee.
Chasing down suspects all the way to South America, and discovering a gold mine littered with quality emeralds, Strong and Forbes will have to use all their wit and detective-skills to outsmart the suspects and not only find a killer, but a baby switched at birth.

Will they solve the crime and escape the menacing Columbian police? Will they find the missing emeralds? And is there really another heir to the Double Clover Gold Mine?

John Moon lives in Berkshire, where he has resided for the past thirty years. He worked at the Thames Valley Police for many years. In the last ten years of his tenure at Thames Valley, he compiled Operation Orders for the Protection, Movement and Control of Royalty and Military personnel. He now shares his time between writing and re-building classic cars.

‘A Bird’s Eye View’ is just one of the many books written and published. A gripping detective novel and as John tells us, “lovers of writers like Georges Simenon and his redoubtable Inspector Maigret, Raymond Chandler’s Phillip Marlowe and Earle Stanley Gardner’s Perry Mason, would not be able to overlook Strong and Forbes whose characters are as powerful and whose crime-solving equally as awesome”.

John Moon already has tales on the trot from the successful detective duo. Penned from his experiences in the Thames Valley Police, he knows that: “of course, I can’t help but draw numerous cameos and sub-plots used in the stories from my time in the ‘job’.

‘A Bird’s Eye View’ is now released, and is available via the publisher, through wholesaler, or from all major retailers.
