Fort Worth, TX – February 8, 2010 – Well known children’s and maternity consignment sale, Just Between Friends (JBF) of Fort Worth is expanding its exhibit space by 50% to accommodate continued record setting growth as Metroplex area residents adjust to the “new normal” of a struggling economy.

The sale, held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth February 23-March 1, 2010, includes an enormous collection of top quality children’s and maternity Spring and Summer clothing, toys, and baby equipment.  As always, a portion of the sale proceeds as well as the unsold items are donated to local charitable organizations. These charities are Community Enrichment Center’s Open Arms Program, Teen Lifeline, and Fort Worth Metro.

“What began as record growth due to a diminishing economy has turned into our new normal,” said Joanie Morrison, Co-Owner, Just Between Friends of Fort Worth.  “When the economy began its downward spiral, our attendance and sales began an immediate upturn.  Our Fall 2009 sale resulted in record-setting numbers.  As we near our Spring 2010 dates, our anticipated sales and participation are at an all time high.  As uncertainty about the economy and employment continue, there are more people than ever who are interested in the savings consignment sales bring,” states Morrison.

“A sale such as JBF allows people to outfit their children at a substantial discount to retail pricing,” Morrison remarks.  As more people become comfortable with the term ‘Consignment,’ there are ever increasing numbers of Metroplex area shoppers and consignors looking for values.”

“We have four kinds of participants in JBF Fort Worth,” says Pam Willingham, Co-owner, Just Between Friends of Fort Worth.  “We have consignors who sell their gently used clothing and items.  Second, are shoppers who are thrilled to purchase beautiful, brand-name and designer merchandise at a fraction of retail cost.  Third, are those who both consign AND shop.  They sell their items and then shop to find incredible values for their children.   And fourth, are our volunteers who are there for a variety of reasons.  Our sale benefits so many - - our Consignors as they sell their items, our Shoppers as they experience incredible savings, and our Community as our volunteers and charities benefit from our sale,” she states.

With humble beginnings in Morrison’s living room, Just Between Friends of Fort Worth has grown to a massive sale that requires over 75,000 square feet of space.  In its fourteenth season, all varieties of maternity, baby and children’s merchandise, including toys and equipment will be quick to go. The upcoming sale accepts consignors up until the day before the sale.
