Follow on Google News | Former Homeless Author Versandra Kennebrew Portrayed in Unheard VoicesUnheard Voices, conceived and directed by retiring faculty member Yolanda Fleischer and written by the UDM Theatre Community, is a play that will address the issues and problems of the overwhelming epidemic of homelessness in Southeast Michigan.
By: Versandra Kennebrew International Unheard Voices will be presented in the Fountain Lounge on the University of Detroit Mercy’s Mc Nichols Campus. All proceeds and donations raised will go to the Homeless Action Network of Detroit (H.A.N.D.), whose help has made this program possible. The performance on Friday, February 26, 2010 will be a Gala Premiere, Paid Ticket Only event. Tickets can be purchased by calling 313-993-1540 or email udmgrad@udmercy.edu. Tickets are $50, $75 and $100 with a portion being tax-deductible. The Gala Premiere will feature a strolling dinner from 6:00-8:00 p.m., the performance at 8:00 p.m. and a coffee and desserts afterglow to follow.
