King III Report: Lazy feedback

Following the mid-day easy traffic situation in our area, I watch the oncoming traffic carefully. I notice a branch fallen on the road. The branch acts as a severe obstruction and this reminds me of meeting bottlenecks (when conforming to King III).

Feb. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- The traffic was flowing smoothly with no bottlenecks and guess what; I see car after car stopping very slowly at the branchand riding over it....risking damage to each car that rode over it.....

A sensible man stops, after I count 8 cars that rode over that tree, stops his car a safe distance gets out and removes the tree from the road and proceeds to drive on; I applaud him. Hard to believe but its fact.

So 7 out of 8 people don't care about the safety of others or themselves really or is it just laziness.  This type of laziness however is the ability of someone to really not care about the person following him and willing to risk people's lives rather than get out oSame holds true with meetings. So if we had to really use this statistic, this could mean that only approximately 10% of people in a governance situation (King III) would really care about the common sense or risk impact on people by doing the right thing and being activist by not accepting lazy feedback regarding the scheduling of meetings e.g. no replies, replies with changed dates, replies that are contrary to earlier confirmed discussions etc.

Solutions help to a certain extent however the lack of common sense or the people that put their needs above others whilst risking the governance of the organisation can cause serious breakdowns in full cycle governance.
