Lake Anna is the second largest lake located entirely in Virginia. Only 30 minutes to the northeast is Fredericksburg, one of America’s most historic small cities, and Washington, DC is approximately 1 ½ hours away. Lake Anna was created in 1972 and Lake Anna State Park opened in 1983. The lake acts as a cooling system for the Dominion Power's North Anna Power Station.
