Prima Donna at Sadler's Wells

Feb. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Opera fans will be heading to luxury London hotel the Egerton in April to see Rufus Wainwright's new show.

The Wainwright opera was first seen at the Manchester International Festival in summer of last year, becoming a massive hit.

It is the first move into opera for the vocalist and songwriter and the plot focuses on fading opera singer, Régine Saint Laurent who is preparing for a return to stage after a six-year break.

The show has received good reviews from critics, with the Times saying that it showcases the musical styles of a golden age.

Also at Sadler's Well, on April 13th, is an evening with Wainwright, where he will perform material from his new album All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu.
