Grace’s Disney Dreams are Realized

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - A little girl suffering from cerebral palsy has her wish to visit the Florida theme parks granted through national children’s charity, Kids Wish Network.

Feb. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Grace is a happy little girl with bright eyes and a big smile. She just loves to laugh and always finds a reason to do so. Grace is also a very caring child with a compassionate nature who really enjoys life.

At the age of five, Grace was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. This is a condition caused by damage to the brain which in turn affects body and muscle coordination.  Grace has has endured both ear and eye surgeries, and may need to have back surgeries in the future.  She must always wear a back brace and ankle supports, and interacts through a communication device.  She also suffers from scoliosis, ADHD and autism.

After learning about Kids Wish Network through a family friend, Grace’s mother, Victoria, gave them a call. It wasn’t long before little Grace made her one wish known to Wish Coordinator, Vanessa: to visit Walt Disney World in Florida. Along with the assistance of Wish Funding Specialist, Doris, and some outstanding sponsors, Vanessa worked her magic and set up an awesome family getaway for Grace and her family. This fabulous vacation included a stay at the famous Royal Plaza Hotel, dinner at the Pirates Dinner Adventure Theater and, of course, tickets to the Walt Disney World Resort and all of the other major Orlando theme parks!

Once in Orlando, Grace and her family enjoyed a real action-packed vacation; their itinerary was booked with fantastic activities and awesome places to visit. Even their dinners were planned out! Kids Wish Network thought of everything and Grace had the time of her young life on her wish trip.

Kids Wish Network would like to thank the following for helping to make Grace’s wish extra special: International Brotherhood of Police Officers Local 673, VFW Post 1289, VFW Post 1289 Ladies Auxiliary, The Royal Plaza Hotel, Compassion Partners, Pirates Dinner Theater, The Sizzler, Tony Roma’s, NYPD, Courtyard Marriott, the Regal Sun Resort and Wonderworks.
