Follow on Google News | Brits trust David Attenborough more than Al Gore or Prince Charles in climate change debate24 February 2010 – Sir David Attenborough is the most trusted voice in the debate on climate change among the UK population.
By: Euro RSCG Euro RSCG London, one of the UK’s top advertising agencies, commissioned the poll. It has been researching people’s attitudes to climate change for more than two years in order to understand what Britons are thinking about the subject and who is influencing them. The study monitors the attitudes of over 1000 Britons, twice a year. Russ Lidstone, CEO of Euro RSCG London said “Sir David is clearly a national treasure whose passion for the natural world is clear to everyone. As the debate on climate change becomes more confusing and mired in controversy, people are looking to him to provide some clarity. This is particularly the case as cynicism around the topic continues to increase.” In the poll, 14 per cent of respondents stated that Sir David was the person they trusted most in the climate change debate. 11 per cent nominated Al Gore, 8 per cent Prince Charles, 5 per cent for both Bob Geldof and Barack Obama.
