Spay Day Usa: A Success Story

In recognition of Spay Day USA, the team of PASS (Parsippany Animal Supporters Society), Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association, Inc. (Ledgewood) and Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter (East Hanover) spread the word about proper spay and neuter practices.

March 2, 2010 - PRLog -- PASS (the Parsippany Animal Supporters Society), Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association, Inc. (Ledgewood) and Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter (East Hanover) participated with the Humane Society of the United States to promote awareness and celebrate the 16th Annual “Spay Day USA” 2010 on February 23rd.

Dr. Anastasia Ferrante and The Montville Veterinary Group (located at 3 Main Road, Montville) generously donated five spay/neuters to help pet owners and caretakers who would not otherwise have been able to take advantage of these procedures.

….and the Five candidates were:
“Boo” from Boonton
“Oreo N” from Lake Hiawatha
“Harlo” from Morristown
“Charlie” from Parsippany
“Oreo B” from Parsippany

We congratulate and applaud the pro-active involvement of The Montville Vet Group, their Veterinarians, Vet Techs and Staff in helping to prevent surplus births and saving taxpayers’ dollars

Spay Day USA takes place each year on the last Tuesday of February.  Created by the Doris Day Animal League (DDAL) in 1995, Spay Day USA became a program of The HSUS when DDAL combined operations with The HSUS in 2006.  Spay Day USA is America's first and ONLY national day of action to promote the spaying or neutering of pets.
