Renowned Voice-Over Actor Bill Ratner Reads His Horror Story at Nightblade.com 24/7 in March 2010

The March 2010 edition of Nightblade.com Features its first-ever Spoken Word Fantasy and Horror Story by Writer and Renowned Voice-over Actor Bill Ratner.

“Bar the door, lock the windows. Now Playing on a computer near you,” says Bill Ratner, author of “Happy Halloween: It’s A Bloody Puppet Show”, his short story that is featured in Nightblade’s March issue at niteblade.com/March-2010/happy-halloween-it’s-a-bloody-puppet-show.  Adding the storytelling dimension to its website, Niteblade, a fantasy and horror literary magazine, is both publishing the text and playing Ratner’s spoken word version of his story on-line.

The inspiration for Ratner’s tale began at a storytelling event at Windsor Mountain International in New Hampshire when he was challenged to, “make it really scary.”  He performed his tale once again as a spoken work piece at the KCRW/NPR (National Public Radio) Masquerade Ball in Los Angeles on Halloween 2009.

Ratner, aside from being a writer, is a professional speaker, three-time Moth Story Slam winner, and one of America’s most recognized and versatile voices.  His soothing delivery, inimitable charm, wry wit, and delightful humor created a huge following of fans who remember him as “Flint” in GI Joe, Family Guy, and Robot Chicken.  Currently, he is the voice for numerous movie trailers, commercial campaigns, TV networks, and affiliate stations around the U.S.  His short stories and essays are published in Pleiades Press, Cheng Kung Literary, Southern Anthology, Papier Mache, Nightblade, Spork, Marquee, and Coast Magazine.  He lives in Los Angeles, CA, and owns three bicycles in various states of disrepair.  More about Bill Ratner can be found at billratner.com.  

Nightblade is published on-line on a monthly basis.  Every fifth issue is a print anthology.  It is the brain child of actor/writer Rhonda Parrish.  The inspiration for the publication is Twilyte Niteblade, the name of a character she once played.   Ratner’s story is Niteblade’s first-ever audio/spoken word piece.  Note:  On some corporate browsers Niteblade is blocked because of its name.
