Varian Designs to Introduce Three New Pieces at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show.

March 4, 2010 - PRLog -- San Francisco, CA (March 3, 2010) – Varian Designs (www.variandesigns.com),
a San Francisco-based design atelier known for its distinctive rustic-modern home furnishings, is pleased to debut three new additions to their original Timber Collection at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show in New York City March 18-21. Crafted from FSC certified white oak, salvaged California walnut and laser cut steel, these three pieces are another example of what the perfect balance of imagination, originality, and exquisite execution may yield.

“Eir, Lofn and Danu represent an expansion and refinement of our original Timber Collection,” explains Founder and Designer Forest Dickey.  “These designs are distilled from elements common to the entire collection but are also drawing from more traditional inspirations as well.  They have a more honed feel than some of the other pieces in the Timber Collection but still maintain our trademark rustic-modern feel.”

Eir Table.
Inspired by classic “harvest” tables of the Midwest and contemporary wood and steel structures, the Eir table combines timeless trestle and wedge construction methods with an innovative laser cut steel bracket system.  The marriage of the two different systems creates a table that is original and compelling in design, yet comfortable and engaging to use.


Lofn Chair.
The new Lofn Chair combines elegant simplicity with craftsmanship and comfort.  With a gently scooped seat and back and tapered rear legs, the Lofn is ideally used as a light dining chair but can equally be utilized as an occasional or hall chair.  Lofn will be shown in salvaged California walnut and certified white oak.  


Danu Hall Table.
Inspired by modern, mission, and arts and crafts elements, the Danu Hall Table is simple and versatile.  It can be used in the kitchen, as a bar next to a dining table, in the hall or behind a couch.    

Varian Designs will be showcasing the new additions at Booth # M34.  The Architectural Digest Home Design Show will be hosted at Pier 94, New York City from March 18-21st.
