Influences from the African continent dominate the fashion trends this season, with signature African prints paraded on international catwalks from New York to London. Ituen Basi's extended “Ankara & Beads” collection demonstrates an innovative use of local West African print fabrics. These cotton prints, together with East African khanga prints are used by South African YouMeWe, Nigerian Nkwo and Tanzanian ChiChia London to create chic and affordable ready to wear pieces.
