By: PRStreet, Inc. “Because traditional token machines and coin-operated games can be a source of great frustration, it was important for us to choose a customer-friendly system that is both efficient and easy to use,” said Roger Camp, president of FEC Partners LLC and Z-Bowl developer. “People are already very familiar with debit cards, and the fact that they are easy to use will help ensure that our guests have a wonderful -- and stress-free -- time.” The Z-Card debit system works as follows: Guests use a plastic Z-Card similar to a credit card to make all transactions. The Z-Card can be loaded with any dollar amount and can be used throughout the facility for bowling as well as food and beverage purchases. A guest simply swipes his or her Z-Card into the reader, and the appropriate value is then deducted. Guests can reload their Z-Card with additional credit at any time, and any remaining balance will be saved on the card for future use. As an additional safeguard, each card will be registered at the time of purchase to protect users from loss or theft. With the system’s ability to track exactly how much money is on each card at all times, a lost or stolen card can be easily closed out and replaced – with full credit for the remaining balance. While Z-Bowl’s ‘ZFunZone’ “We want players to enjoy the thrill of seeing the tickets they’ve just won rolling out of the machine,” explains Camp. “It’s always exciting when you’re trying to stuff your tickets into your pockets. Plus, when you see someone else winning, it can create some good, old-fashioned competition.” ZFunZone will include 57 player stations with games ranging from mini-basketball to six NASCAR drivers racing side-by-side against one another. Other popular games include Big Buck, Big Bass and small-bowl bowling machines. In addition to bowling and dozens of fun games, Z-Bowl will be a great place to watch your favorite sports team on one of the many high-definition flat screen and projection TVs located throughout the center. Z-Bowl will also feature pool tables, a VIP/Group bowl section, shuffleboard, dartboards and several birthday party rooms that can be sized to meet your groups’ needs. “Za’s Bar and Grill” will feature dozens of domestic and imported wines and beers, a brick pizza oven and an open flame grill. Z-Bowl will open this spring with a grand opening planned for May 1st. The Family Entertainment Center will be located at the corner of East Washington and 5th Street in downtown Mebane just ½ block off Highway 70 (Center Street). From I-85/I-40, take exit #153 or #154 to downtown Mebane.
