FashionableCanes.com Supports Annual MS Walk Auction

March 10, 2010 - PRLog -- Fashionable Canes and Walking Sticks, the company that owns and operates FashionableCanes.com, is proud to take part in yet another effort to further the quest to cure Multiple Sclerosis. As the National MS society plans another walk-a-thon style event in Virginia this March, FashionableCanes.com is making a generous donation to their silent auction in order to raise funds to further MS research and study.

"With over 400,000 people in the US that live with MS, it's important that all of us do as much as we can," said Michael Boyle, marketing rep from FashionableCanes.com.  Boyle continued to explain that the rate of people being diagnosed with this life-altering condition is growing every year at an alarming rate.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society provides education, programs and services to people living with MS and the health professionals who work with them, as well as raising much-needed funds for research and development of new drugs, treatments and therapies.

"We are honored to take part in this wonderful foundation," said Elizabeth Carroll, co-owner of Fashionable Canes and Walking Sticks "and we are delighted to donate some beautiful walking canes to this auction." Carroll Explained that this particular fund-raiser was being held by the Blue Ridge Chapter of the National MS society, which represents all of West Virginia and North-Eastern Virginia.

"We've included a variety of products in two different packages," Boyle continued. "Two of our finest cane stands will be shipped to Virginia for this fundraiser on March 25, each along with a number of our most popular styles of walking cane."

Each of the pieces is a functional mobility aid that provides reliable support, while showcasing a variety of beautiful styles available from the selection at FashionableCanes.com. Included in the first package available at auction are a molded lucite cane that looks to be crafted of clear crystal or glass, a sleek, elegant "Cosmopolitan-Style" cane with a simple black finish, a beautiful folding-adjustable model with a purple floral pattern, as well as one of their newest models, a Hame-Handled solid ash walking cane stained to a beautiful blue hue.

The second package includes the most popular models available in their selection.
