Beginning April 21st – 25th, the Sarasota High School Theatre will feature Christina Charlotte in the lead role of Annie with Cody Ford and David Wright playing Daddy Warbucks, as its second performance for the Spring Season. • Tickets are $5.00 for students and $8.00 for adults The students just returned from their performing arts tour of New York, where the cast saw Wicked on Broadway, needless to say this Broadway experience will be used. The cast appreciates the help of all the parents who chipped in to fund this all important chance of a lifetime to see a selected play performed on Broadway, the snow in Central Park was a welcome treat and for some the first time to see snow. As an added surprise the cast learned upon their return that Melissa Dweck, Sarasota High School’s drama teacher, director and fearless leader had been named both Sarasota High School teacher of the year and now Sarasota county high school teacher of the year. The show (s) will be rated by the Asolo Repertory Guild and such ratings aid students in getting scholarships or bragging rights at auditions. Sarasota High School has an intense upcoming drama schedule and is relying on the aid of donations to keep reaching for the stars. Sponsors will receive coverage in materials as well as exposure to highly targeted individuals. Sarasota High School DramaGuild has a show choir that is available for groups in search of musical enjoyment. Sponsorships and donations are accepted throughout the spring performance.
