Newton Abbot Racecourse Invest Heavily For Start Of New Racing Season

March 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Champion racehorse trainer Martin Pipe CBE will be at Newton Abbot Racecourse to open a new Stable Lads’ Canteen on 21st March – part of a £300,000 investment at the racecourse.

The canteen is just one of a series of improvements made at the racecourse for the start of the 2010 season.  The experience for race-goers is also being improved with the installation of several plasma TVs around the racecourse, a new owners’, trainers’ and pedestrian entrance and the renovation of the Paddock Restaurant.

Further projects include the refurbishment of the annual members’, owners’ and trainers’ lounge and the canter down, the rebuilding of 3 fences, and the installation of a new security system throughout the racecourse.

In addition to these investments, the company have employed two new full-time members of staff and are currently advertising to recruit a number of seasonal workers for the forthcoming season.
