Part 2 of Costa Ricas Best Kept Secrets

March 15, 2010 - PRLog -- We last talked about Rio Celeste in the area of Arenal Volcano in our Costa Rica Best Kept Secrets Part - 1. We start Part - 2 by going to a lesser known volcano.

Miravalles volcano is located in the Province of Guanacaste, 12 miles from Bagaces. This wonder of nature stands 6,000 ft above sea level. Thermal waters, mineral pools, and therapeutic clay are what we are looking for here.

A family project, Las Hornillas has set up in this area to enlighten those who take the time to visit.  Their tours include walking inside an active crater, the only place in Costa Rica you are able to do this, and observing the volcanic activities firsthand of Fumaroles and Pans.
