Govenor's Energy Office Announces Rebate Program To Launch April 19

Colorado Homeowners to Receive Rebates for the Installation of Energy Efficient Home Improvements
 
March 19, 2010 - PRLog -- DENVER, CO, MARCH 22, 2010:  The GEO announced a rebate program to grant Coloradans access to millions of Recovery Act dollars with aims of boosting the state economy and saving energy.  This initiative is set to launch April 19 and offers as a catalyst for Colorado homeowners to upgrade to energy efficient furnaces, boilers, and water heaters.

Qualified furnaces, boilers, and water heaters must be ENERGY STAR approved and meet required efficiency levels.  Furnace rebates are set at $500, tankless water heaters at $300, boilers at $400.  Beginning April 19, consumers will be directed to the Recharge Colorado website to apply for and reserve rebates.  

Terms and conditions: Only “individual consumers” need apply;
businesses and organizations are not eligible, one rebate per household, rebates must be used to replace an existing appliance.  Appliances are required to be installed by a Colorado contractor who is approved by the GEO and is within good standing with the Better Business Bureau.
