March 24, 2010 - PRLog -- ACIM was originally established in 2009 as a one-stop-shop advisory firm for companies in the fast paced music industry who wanted to stay ahead of the curve which was shaping their industry.  The Company has brought together an in-house team of consultants, corporate finance advisers and cross-border legal counsel, allowing them to offer advice on three fronts.  Having in-house legal advice with specific expertise in mergers & acquisitions, securitization of intellectual property and corporate finance deal structuring, enables ACIM to distinguish themselves from other boutique firms, allowing them to be extremely competitive.

ACIM has also established a proprietary arm which allows them to develop, structure and co-invest in deals as principal.  The Company looks for take-overs, M&A deals, roll-ups and buy-outs within the music industry, including musical instrument manufacturing, media, and associated technologies.

The principals of the Company have a great wealth of experience in both the financial markets and the music industry together.  They have run their own music instrument manufacturing companies and online ancillary parts businesses.  Senior management also has over 30 years experience in the recording industry, on both sides of the business including as talent and running successful studios.  The Company's in-house legal counsel also has particular expertise in intellectual property, which is one of the most valuable assets in the music industry.

The Company has also re-structured their vintage guitar investment fund (The Guitar Fund) in order to create more liquidity for the investors.  Given the tremendous amount of stress the markets have been under over the past two and a half years since the beginning of the credit crisis, the managers of the fund have tweaked the strategy which should make it more inviting to institutional investors.

"Even though the markets have been in turmoil over the past couple of years, the average value of the top 100 blue chip vintage guitar models has actually increased approximately 24% during this period", said Tommy Byrne, CEO of ACIM and CIO of The Guitar Fund.  He went on to say, "This helps to demonstrate why this type of non-correlated asset class is a very good alternative investment strategy for portfolio diversification, especially in the case of generational wealth management."

The Company has also been asked to do a feasibility study on securitizing a large private collection of vintage guitars which include a number of memorabilia guitars.  Mr. Byrne commented jokingly, “This is certainly right up our alley and I look forward to a very ‘Hands-On’ review of the project”.
