Follow on Google News | Accountancy Merger Promises Benefits Of Web 2.0 AgeTwo accountancy firms that specialise in the music, new media, broadcast and entertainment industries are to merge in an effort to exploit technology to deliver an accountancy service more in keeping with the Web 2.0 age.
By: NWN Blue Squared Ltd Nieman Walters Niman Ltd and Blue Squared Finance Ltd , which between them work with clients in start up phase through to established household names, will join forces from April 1st and rebrand as NWN Blue Squared Ltd. “Many of our clients are drawn from the media, new media, music and broadcast sectors,” explains Nick Lawrence, Director of Blue Squared. “Their passions are music, film, or design. They only want to spend time thinking of their next service or product. The days spent on budgeting and invoicing are really wasted days for them which are better spent on driving the creative side of their business to fulfil its potential. So we pick up those other areas, making sure that everything is filed online, and therefore removing a layer of traditional paper communication to communicate electronically wherever possible, in keeping with how they conduct all other areas of their business.” The new company will continue to provide a wide range of business accounting services including wealth management, tax reduction strategies, succession planning and growth management, as well as satisfying everyday needs such as, credit control, book-keeping & VAT, payroll, management accounts and related information, statutory accounts and corporate and personal tax. Technology is also key to what Ed Niman, Director of Nieman Walters Niman, sees as the USP of the new combined business: “Because of the way in which we utilise technology to work with our clients, we can make communication, systems and processes much more efficient irrespective of location. Collectively we have the skills and experience to move this combined practice forward significantly. We believe there is a market for a new kind of accountancy firm like NWN Blue Squared,” adds Niman. Ends. End
