Follow on Google News | When Will My Baby Takes His First Step In Life? This article looks into the developmental stages of your baby, especially the crucial first step.
By: Jumperoos However, there may be some days where they are just too quick and can go for too long. Instead of discouraging that your best bet is to join in the fun. Play along or put on some tunes and have some fun dancing away with your little one. So, at this stage it may not just be walking or running but some boogie down time too as they are beginning to grasp how sound and their body movements come together and make them feel. At this time your child will also be pretty good at saying “No” to you and they will start to come with more frequency. This often begins to frustrate parents and they now are entering into a world where they have to make the child understand what’s right and what’s wrong. The best advice is to set clear limits for your child by letting them know what acceptable behaviour is and what is not. They won’t always remember what you are trying to teach them, the first time but if you repeat yourself they will begin to get what you are talking about. It’s best to explain the correct thing your child should after explaining what they shouldn’t have done. Your may also have begun to grasp the language and may have some words and sentences in their repertoire. Children are like sponges and they pick up what is going on around them. It is very important to avoid swearing and or using inappropriate language around your child, especially on a regular basis as they will pick that up and start to repeat what they are hearing. Also, a negative household will also affect your toddler’s behaviour and demeanour. Make sure that you avoid arguing in front of your child and always try and keep a positive attitude and environment for your child so as to give them a healthy start at life. Bottom line is to remember that this age is critical in a child’s development and also in the forming of their personality and habits so remember to offer the best resources and environment for your child as this will be the starting point on their path to growing up.
