April 3, 2010 - PRLog -- A much underrated activity with huge health and exercise benefits is doing trampoline exercises.   Most people know trampolines are a fun way to bounce around but don’t know the benefits gained from them.  They are an awesome workout.  It develops excellent body awareness and also burns a lot of fat and calories in a short period of time.  Trampoline jumping also has a great and powerful effect on the lymphatic system.  This system builds a strong immune system.  It is an exercise that is built for not only children but adults.  Any age can benefit from a regular trampoline exercise routine.
People who regularly perform trampoline exercises benefit from a stronger cardio vascular system, weight loss, more muscle definition, stronger core and better moods from increased endorphins.
Studies have shown that trampoline jumping can help with stress related to school and work.  For children it helps them lose control over their body movements and help transfer over to a child’s control of learning.  As trampoline teaches control of muscles and coordination, many kids see an improvement in their grades when they regularly perform trampoline exercises.
It also has been shown that it helps teach persistence.  It does take many times to master a trampoline skill.  This is because it is so much fun and that often people get close to their desired techniques so they push themselves to master them.  It helps reinforce the benefit of following through with things.
Additionally, using the trampoline is a great family activity.  It gets parents and kids out together exercising at the same location and having fun bouncing in the air while doing so.  When a child sees that exercising with a trampoline is a fun activity for their parents, it helps them enjoy it even more, seeing the smiles on faces while flying through the air.  It also promotes teamwork with the children and parents as the timing of jumping with multiple people is important in the flow of the jump.
Although it is not a traditional exercise per se, it is becoming more popular these days.  Even professional athletes are seeing the benefits by trampoline exercising as it has been helping them improve their performance in their selected sport and it is becoming very common to cross train with a trampoline.
