April 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Arlington, TX--Core Incorporated Talks about Responsibility

As we go on in life, there are many things we have to take into consideration. Taking on new jobs, forming relationships, all of these things require some amount of responsibility. Core Incorporated finds responsibility an important attribute in a person’s character. Once you can take credit for doing, or not doing something, Core Incorporated explains you are taking on responsibility.

Life is full of choices, whether they are small, big, or just typical choices, such as choosing a beverage. Being responsible means being in charge of our choices and, thus, our lives. Responsibility, Core Incorporated recognizes, requires us to recognize that what we do and what we don't do matters and that we are responsible for the consequences of our choices.

Core Incorporated knows that being responsible is more than just doing what you are supposed to do. Responsibility reaches very far within, maybe into areas of our life that we hadn't even considered.

To be responsible according to Core Incorporated means that you will do everything you can to ensure a goal is achieved regardless of the "how", "who", "what", "where" or "when". This is as simple as agreeing to finish a project all the way through. Unfortunately, Core Incorporated has noticed that many people complicate this concept by fusing it with their ego, their own personal desire to perform the actual work and to be recognized for the work, not the achievement of the goal.

Core Incorporated realizes that we all want to be recognized for doing a job well, but achieving a collective goal requires recognizing every person's talents and contributions, not just the person responsible.  Core Incorporated had to experience what responsibility meant earlier on in their company.  To complete jobs Core Incorporated had to obtain help from others in the company. Learning how to handle responsibility early on will make for a better business, Core Incorporated has proved that this is so.

Core Incorporated: Being responsible means to-

•   Make use of all your resources, not just yourself
•   Ask for help from your boss and peers
•   Work smarter, not harder
Most important of all, responsibility means that you will give your boss a chance to help you when your project is at risk for failing or not being done on time.

Core Incorporated knows that a key difference between being a good boss and a bad boss is how one deals with this concept of responsibility. A bad boss will make someone feel bad for asking for help to fulfill their responsibility. A good boss will reward someone for seeking help and exposing project risks in order to ensure the team's collective success. Whether you are the leader of a team or a leader of one (yourself), Core Incorporated asks what kind of boss do you want to be?

By taking responsibility for you, and your actions, more opportunities may be open to you. Maybe even that job promotion you’ve been longing for?
