By: DARIA MUSIC “Most of the first instruments in the world were made from recycled materials” says Daria whose live world music show features instruments from across the planet such as didgeridoos from Australia made from hollow tree branches, gourd shekeres from Africa and goat toe-mail rattles (chapchas) and donkey jawbone percussion (quijana) from South America. Says Daria: “Getting creative with music is something that any kid can do and I hope my world music instruments, my website and this contest inspire them to be creative about how they can make their own unique music”. First prize for this contest is a real Washburn “Rover” travel guitar and case. “It’ Along with two Parent’s Choice Awards and one NAPPA award, Daria's cd’s have won acclaim for creating a kind of multicultural kids music that is heard and enjoyed around the world from South Africa to South America as well as throughout the USA.
