Diabetes - Drugs or Nutrition?

A recent study has found that Nutrition can play a more helpful role in helping to treat diabetes than conventional drugs.

April 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Here at Nutrition Mission we have been really pleased to read a study in the New England Journal of Medicine carried out by the Diabetes Prevention Program Research Group in the United States of America and reported on by David M. Nathan MD, that shows that diet and lifestyle choices are much more effective in reducing the incidence of type 2 diabetes compared to taking orthodox drugs such as Metformin and rosiglitazone. The study, reports a decrease in diabetes with diet and lifestyle intervention of 58% in just fewer than 3 years compared to 31% after 3 years on the orthodox drugs.
