The Moth 3-Time Story Slam Winner Bill Ratner To Tell Memorable Earth Tale at The Moth Los Angeles, Busby’s East, April 6, 2010 at 7:30 pm

“I’m picking my outfit and flapping my lips, getting ready for another knock-down, drag-out story slam,” states raconteur Bill Ratner about his performance plans for The Moth Story Slam this Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Busby’s East, 5364 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA at 7:30 pm.   Ratner, together with a group of other storytellers, will toss his name in a hat and wait to be called to tell five-minute true tales based on the evening’s theme, “Earth”.  The stories, told from a nightclub stage without notes or manuscripts, are intended to amuse, inspire, and mesmerize.

Ratner, aside from being a professional speaker, storyteller, and three-time Moth Story Slam winner, is also one of America’s most recognized and versatile voices.  His soothing delivery, inimitable charm, and wry humor created a huge following of fans who remember his Flint character in GI Joe, Family Guy, and Robot Chicken.  Currently, he is the voice for numerous movie trailers, TV networks, and affiliate stations around the U.S.  His short stories and essays are published in Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing, Cheng Kung Literary, Southern Anthology, Papier Mache, Nightblade, Spork, Marquee, and Coast Magazine.  Ratner is a member of the National Storytelling Network.  He lives in Los Angeles, CA, and owns three bicycles in various states of disrepair.  More about Bill Ratner can be found at billratner.com.
