April 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Irish consumers seem to be anticipating a summer of good weather and plenty of sunshine according to online retailers www.purchase.ie
The online site has had a huge upturn in sales for its Sun jar product since it was recently featured in the Sunday Times Home Supplement.
The site which specialise in eco friendly and energy saving products was launched in November 2009 but is already achieving a steady flow of online sales with the Sun jar product proving to be especially popular with Irish Online Shoppers.
‘Sales have being steadily growing on a month to month and even a week to week basis’ according the purchase.ie owner Colm Griffin. ‘All the products we supply are selling well but the sun jar has been a huge favourite with our customers particularly in the past few weeks’
The Sunjar is a made from a frosted traditional Mason jar and features a solar panel under its lid which charges by daylight and offers a gentle glow at night time. The product is available in three colours yellow, blue and pink.
It is an excellent alternative as a night-light in a childs bedroom, as a garden light, as a table light for summer barbeques, for family camping trips and it could even be used on restaurant tables as a fancy alternative for candle lighting.
The Sunjar is well tailored for the Irish weather as it is fully waterproof and includes an over-ride switch which allows you to turn on and off as required and converse battery life.
On average one can expect about 5 hours of light from a fully charged Sunjar every night.
According to Griffin ‘Our current promotion is proving to be very appealing to customers at present as we are offering free delivery when one buys 3 or more of the product’ We are also offering a further 10% discount across our product range when a customer enters the current promotion code which is Anpost01.
Griffin added that ' geographically sales have been strong in Dublin but particularly strong in Cork, Galway and appropriately enough in the Sunny South-East counties of Wexford and Waterford' From a colour perspective sales of the Yellow Sunjar have far outweighed that of the Blue and the Pink but all three colours are selling well'
The site will be adding a number of new products in the coming weeks ahead of embarking on a TV advertising campaign with a National broadcaster very soon.
