Past Life Regression and Weight Reduction

April 22, 2010 - PRLog -- (Dallas, Texas) Many authors have written about connections between past lives and a person's present lifetime. These connections are even stringer when the connection is related to how that past life self died.

For example a person who drowned in a previous lifetime may manifest that connection to the past in the form of a fear of water, or more specifically a fear of a body or water. Once they discover that they drowned in a previous lifetime and the proper techniques are used to release the connection to that previous lifetime, the person will usually have no more problems with water in their current life.

Another example may involve being hung in a previous lifetime, which quite often will manifest itself in some sort of discomfort in the neck. Again, once the person becomes aware of the connection to a past life and the connection is released while in hypnosis, they find that their neck problems are a thing of the past.

"It's always interesting when I regress a client to a previous lifetime and they experience a tragic death scene at the end of that past life," stated Mark Johnson, a Second Generation Hypnotherapist in Dallas, Texas who specializes in Past Life Regression Therapy. He continued, "I recently experienced a past life regression session as the client, working with Richard Sutphen, who was in Dallas for a workshop. The presenting issue was my weight, and the fact that I have always felt I was overweight."

What Mark discovered during his past life regression session was that he was a black man who was captured and put on a boat with many others from his village. Before reaching his destination he died of starvation on the boat. As discussed in the previous examples, this type of ending to a lifetime tends to carry over into future lifetimes and can even continue to repeat itself over and over again, until the connection to that event in the past lifetime is released. When someone dies of starvation in a past life, no matter what the circumstances, there is a tendency to overcompensate and eat extra food in an attempt to make sure that never happens again.

"After Richard removed the connection and allowed me to process the events and place them in the proper perspective, I felt a release, a lightness, come over my body. It was as if a lifetime of challenges in terms of losing weight then putting it back on over and over again is now a thing of my past," Mark commented. Additional suggestions were provided in terms of weight reduction, and of course time will tell how this all works out for Mark.

Since this expereince, Mark has decided that the time is right to begin using this same approach in his own hypnosis practice, knowing that once he has reached his ideal weight, his story will be even more powerful and effective in terms of positive evidence that this is indeed a valid method to assist those who are challenged with excess weight.
