Las Vegas Pop Artist "Zika" to Perform at the 2010 Music and Fashion Expo

April 22, 2010 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS - Zulfiya “Zika” Karimova has achieved some success on the club scene in Europe with her independently produced album “Zika” and on Sunday, April 25th with the Paves band and on Monday, April 26th with track performances, the “Russian Chick” looks to showcase her pop music skills for record labels and fashion world professionals with the hopes of securing a major deal. Executives from Universal Records, as well as label representatives, agents and managers will be in attendance for this show at the Palace Showroom inside Palace Station Hotel and Casino, 2411 West Sahara Avenue. The show is open to the public and begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can only be purchased online at www.entertainmentfirst.com.

Presented by Ron Knight and Entertainment First, this unique show is designed to bring music industry executives “face to face” with independent artists in a forum that combines the worlds of live music and fashion. Event organizers expect several celebrity guests to be in attendance.

The bill includes the “ReggaeTing” Charity Benefit Concert promoting Habitat for Humanity. Backed by the four-piece Paves Band comprised of Las Vegas musicians, Zika is the only Las Vegas artist scheduled to perform.

Raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, Zika has drawn from musical influences ranging from rock, pop, country and gospel. After graduation from piano school in Russia, her family migrated to the USA and settled in Nashville, TN. It was there the self-described “Russian Chick” dreamed of becoming a pop star. Although her name may not yet be known on the local scene, one look at her MySpace, facebook and her personal www.zika.us pages reveals that Zika is on the verge of stardom.

In 2007, she independently finished her 1st album which was a huge success in European Clubs with hits such as “New Love” and “Yadi Yadi.”. In 2009, she was discovered and worked with the legendary Joe Jackson. Managed by Paves Productions and promoted by Jackson, Zika was one of the artists that were scheduled to perform with Michael Jackson on his tour. The possibility of working with the “King of Pop” was a dream come true, although cut short.
