Sponsorship is a winner at Newton Abbot

April 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Mint Casino of Torquay were assured of a win at Newton Abbot Racecourse on April 23rd, following their sponsorship of the evening race meeting.

The evening fixture marked the first time that the casino has added sponsorship of the racing to their marketing mix. Mike Ashton, Manager of Mint Casino said: “We decided to sponsor a race meeting at Newton Abbot as it provided us with the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the Mint brand alongside allowing us to talk directly to our existing members and other race-goers through our promotional stand at the course”.

With Newton Abbot Racecourse appealing to a similar customer demographic as Mint Casino, the race sponsorship provided a valuable opportunity to market the casino to potential future customers.

Alex Penn, Sales and Marketing Manager at Newton Abbot Racecourse said: “With an average race-day attendance of 4,000 people, alongside the national TV coverage of race meetings, sponsorship at Newton Abbot provides a really cost effective means for businesses to raise and maintain brand awareness.
