May 3, 2010 - PRLog -- It’s the story that had the media buzzing back in the Fall of 2008 when Lifeway Christian Bookstores abruptly snatched thousands of Gospel Today Magazines off its store shelves after the publication featured women pastors on its cover. But that's not where the story ends.

Nearly two years later, the publication's founder, Dr. Teresa Hairston, admits that the magazine is still feeling the effects of the financial hit it took.

In a candid conversation with Dianna Hobbs, Founder and Editor In Chief of  EEWMagazine.com, Hairston lays the situation bare and reveals behind-the-scenes details of the way things were handled by Lifeway. Shockingly, according to Dr. Hairston, “To this day they have never honored any of our calls, or anything, or any requests for meetings—nothing.”

Still, Hairston is not allowing the setback to slow her down. She is actively promoting her new book, “How to Pursue Your Purpose:  7 Power Principles to Help You Unleash God’s Power in Your Life,”  which is featured, along with six other books written by gifted African American Christian women authors, on EEW Magazine’s 2010 Summer Reading List.

“I think the end of the story will be greater; it will be better; it will be bigger and we will see God’s hand prevail,” says Hairston who seems more determined than ever to continue pressing forward. “I’m not gonna give up,” she says.
