Citrix strengthens its market position in Malaysia with Avnet Technology Solutions

May 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet, Inc.  announced today that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Citrix Systems, Inc.  to be its sole virtualization distributor in Malaysia.

As part of the partnership, Avnet will integrate Citrix’s desktop and server virtualization solutions, such as XenAppsTM, XenDesktopTM and XenServerTM with existing software and hardware offerings to its technological offerings. These integrated solutions encompasses both software and hardware such as IBM Bladecenter, System x; and IBM’s Virtualized Hosted Client Infrastructure, Tivoli’s Access Manager, Identity Manager, Monitoring for Virtual Servers, and WebSphere’s Portal.

In addition, Avnet has launched the Citrix Solution Center, a one-stop facility where customers can implement, test and review the latest Citrix technologies before purchase. The Citrix Solution Center will also serve as a training facility for IT personnel to familiarize themselves with the technology.
