May 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Pretournament news conferences  with Tiger Woods used to be fairly sedate, predictable events. No more. On Tuesday at the Players Championship, the general atmosphere and the questions and answers were in stark contrast to a year ago.

Last year, a relaxed, smiling Woods, playing his sixth event back from knee surgery, expansively answered a series of questions. They were about an eagle he had just holed from the fourth fairway; what he would tell children in Colombia who wanted to be like him; his reactions to a recent visit to the White House; the difficulties leaving his children when he traveled; and his thoughts about his father having compared him to Gandhi in a late 1990s Sports Illustrated article.

On Tuesday, after hitting five balls in the water during his practice round, it was a reserved, slightly wary and occasionally terse Woods who took questions about the continuing fallout from his highly publicized scandal.
