May 7, 2010 - PRLog -- GUELPH, ONTARIO  — Building on its 52-year history of leadership and innovation, Saniflo  Canada introduces its new line of Quiet Range macerators. The line will include the company’s flagship SANIPLUS model, designed for a full bathroom, and the recently launched SANITOP model, designed for a half bathroom.

“The development of the Quiet Range represents a major technological improvement compared to previous models,” says Daniel Cayer, National Sales Manager, Saniflo Canada. “The Quiet Range line addresses consumers’ requests for a quieter product by incorporating state-of-the-art noise reduction technology and also features improved performance and a sleek new design.”

Thanks to the addition of vibration absorbers, specialized rubber interior components and a quieter more powerful motor, the Saniflo Research & Development team was able to reduce sound emitted by approximately 10dB. When operating, the SANIPLUS and new SANITOP model produce less than 35dB of sound (equivalent to background noise).

Like its predecessors, the new SANIPLUS uses above-floor plumbing technology to handle waste from a rear-discharge toilet as well as a sink and a tub/shower. Although the redesigned version has a more streamlined, contemporary look to complement modern décor, the location of the three inlets and discharge are identical to previous models allowing homeowners to easily swap out an older unit for the new SANIPLUS model.

The SANITOP is Saniflo’s first external macerating unit designed specially for half bathrooms. It features two inlets, one for the toilet and the other for a sink, and its compact size makes it the smallest macerator available on the market.

Why maceration? Macerating technology is a cost-effective, easy-to-install solution for both residential and commercial bathroom applications. The systems use a fast-rotating blade to liquefy waste and toilet paper in the flush water, which is then discharged under pressure through small-bore piping to a drainage line or soil stack.

Saniflo macerating toilet systems can be installed on top of any finished floor eliminating the need for excavation of the existing floor or building a raised floor to install a drain line, as required by systems using a sewage ejector. The small-bore discharge piping can easily be installed and concealed inside existing walls. Saniflo’s “up-flush” technology permits home or building owners to create a new bathroom wherever it is most convenient: in a basement, attic, garage, under the stairs or inside a newly remodeled space.

Saniflo’s parent company, SFA Group in Paris France, developed macerating technology nearly a half-century ago and led its commercialization over the following decades. SFA began selling these unique plumbing fixtures in Europe in 1958, taking the line international in 1965 and entering the North American market in the late 1980’s.
