May 11, 2010 - PRLog -- If you have tile flooring in your home or work space, you might be dealing with large, dirty grout lines, or broken cracked tiles.  You tried to find the same tile so you could replace the broken cracked tile and found out it isn't available anymore.   Perhaps you spent money having the grout professionally cleaned and it looked just as bad a few weeks later.   You might have thought about getting rid of the tile but haven't because of the dirt, dust and noise associated with it.

In today's flooring market, there are options to living with old dirty tile without actually having to remove it before replacing it.

The answer is to use a floating floor system.  Three  wonderful flooring options are cork flooring which is available in a wide array of tones, patterns, stains and even colors.  Cork comes in tiles or in different size planks.  Another great option is Marmoleum by Forbo which is made with ingredients like linseed oil and rosins. Like cork, Marmoleum is available in a vast array of colors, tones and sizes.  These first two options carry the benefit of being eco-friendly.  The third option is wood laminate.  Today's version of wood laminate looks so real you can't tell if it is actually hard wood.  All three of the flooring options are laid using a click system over a simple inexpensive overlay.  All three of these flooring options are easy to care for and extremely long lasting.

If the three flooring options described above are more work and perhaps outside your budget, there is another option to consider.  FLOR  carpet tiles are a great solution for getting the tile covered with out the expense of installing another hard surface flooring.  FLOR carpet tiles can be configured to be any size area rug or to go wall to wall.  The installation is very easy.  Like the cork and Marmoleum , FLOR carpet tiles are eco-friendly.  One of the best things about these carpet tiles is the ease with which you can replace one should it become damaged or stained.  Speaking of stains, you can actually remove a tile (or tiles) to wash them with water and gentle cleaners.  FLOR carpet tiles are a great option for homes with young kids and pets.
