NAMI's Upcoming Symposium on Applications and Technologies of Fire Resistant Building Materials

May 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Fires are real hazards in all built environments, and it is the prevailing regulation in Hong Kong and many major cities in the world that all building materials are fire-rated, i.e. they are proven building materials which are not only incombustible but also able to withstand the effects of fires for a specified period of time.

This forum aims to present recent advances on fire protection in built environments and latest developments in fire resistant building materials as well as current practices in the construction industry to researchers, designers, builders as well as materials suppliers.

Four distinguished speakers in their expertise area will present their insights and experience. The speakers and their presentation titles are as follows:
