Watch.com said that since starting his collection two decades ago it had increased in value much more than other forms of investment. "Some of my pocket watches were picked up for a song - I would never have believed the interest currently being shown around the world", he said. "From the number of emails I receive and current sales on eBay, pocket watches are selling for serious money, there is a real and growing market for good quality watches and the current recession has done nothing to dampen demand."
