2011 Ford EcoBoost Engine Provides Maximum Fuel Economy for Maryland Ford Truck Dealer

The brand new EcoBoost engine will be offered in the 2011 Ford F-150 as an alternative to Ford’s larger 5.4L V-8 counterpart offered in the 2010 F-150.  Engineers predict that the engine will produce 340 horsepower and 340 pound-feet of torque which is considerable higher than the 320 horsepower that the current 5.4L delivers.

Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost engine is also expected to get considerable gas mileage which plays a large factor when opting out of a 5.4L Triton V-8.  While the new engine offers higher ratings on horsepower, it will also get higher gas mileage estimated at 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.  For most truck users who cannot trade their trucks for economy cars, the 2011 F-150 will be a great alternative.

The 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 engine employs turbo-charging and direct fuel injection to allow for maximum power, efficiency and minimal wear and tear, meaning your EcoBoost V-6 will last longer.  The EcoBoost powered F-150 will be available in mid to late 2010 for the 2011 model year.
