Easy Home Upgrades From Knauf Insulation

Stand 100 will showcase products from Knauf Insulation that cater for both the residential refurb and new build markets, including its new Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) System.

The CIH exhibition provides the perfect platform for Knauf Insulation to present live demonstrations of its IWI System to attendees, which simplifies the process of upgrading solid masonry walls, in order to achieve higher levels of energy efficiency. The cost-effective system is ideal for eco-upgrades and will enable existing properties meet or exceed current Building Regulation thermal standards. The system consists of composite thermally engineered studs (EcoStuds) and insulation slabs (Earthwool EcoBatt), which can be combined to provide greater thicknesses of thermal insulation than achievable by using a single thickness.

Also on display will be a selection of other products from Knauf Insulation’s comprehensive portfolio including: Perimeter Plusä Blow-in-Blanket® System, which is a high performance loose glass mineral wool designed to be blown into timber frame walls from the interior of a development, Earthwool DriTherm Cavity Slabs, which provide thermal insulation for masonry cavity walls as well as insulation solutions for lofts and external walls.

Representing the ultimate solution in insulation, Earthwool has replaced Knauf Insulation’s Crown and Rocksilk brands to create a universal brand for its glass and rock mineral wool, whilst continuing to offer superior levels of sustainability.  Building on the already outstanding performance and value of mineral wool, Earthwool utilises the ground-breaking binding process of ECOSE® Technology- creating a new generation of products with unprecedented levels of usability and sustainability. Earthwool also offers significant improvements to traditional mineral wool in terms of feel, handling and environmental performance.

Knauf Insulation products with ECOSE Technology are made with a formaldehyde-free binder based on rapidly renewable, bio-based materials, instead of traditional petro-based chemicals, which reduces embodied energy and delivers superior environmental sustainability. The insulation produced doesn't look or feel like any other insulation. It is naturally brown in colour as there are no artificial colours or dyes added and it produces a ‘super softer’, odourless and easier to handle insulation.
