Nurses congratulate California’s newest assembly member UNAC-Endorsed state assemblyman Mike Gatto

June 14, 2010 - PRLog -- The United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals (UNAC/UHCP) congratulates newly elected California State Assembly Member Mike Gatto, victor in the runoff special election for the 43rd District.

“UNAC/UHCP is proud to have been the only nurses union to endorse Assembly Member Mike Gatto in the special election primary, and to continue that support through to the runoff election. He demonstrated a willingness to engage our membership to discuss how best to improve our healthcare system and the delivery of patient care through the legislative process,” said UNAC/UHCP Political Director Jimmy Gomez.

Assembly Member Gatto will start work immediately in Sacramento representing Glendale, North Hollywood, and Burbank. He was sworn in Thursday morning by Assembly Speaker John A. Perez.
