How Does A Mud Valve Work

June 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Mud vavle is one important spare parts in solids control system, as we all know valve is a I/O equipment, it controls the fluids or sometimes solids which can flowing, or the mixture in the pipe or something alike.
In drilling mud solids control system, the mud valve controls the drilling fluids which is mixed by mud and drill cuttings. by the vavle, we can  control when the mud should be pumped to the tank, how much mud should be pumped, or others like so.
There are two equipments referring the muc vavle, one is the pipe, used for mud to be pumped anywhere, and the other is the hopper, used with the jet mud mixer and so on.

A mud tank is an open-top container, typically made of steel, to store drilling fluid on a drilling rig. They are also called mud pits, because they used to be nothing more than pits dug out of the earth. The mud tank is devided into Square tank and Cone-shaped tank according to the shape of tank bottom. The body of the tank is made of welding the steel plate and section, using the flat cone-shape structure or the corrugated structure
