Denver, Colorado…June 22, 2010…Vibrant Solar announced today the first privately financed commercial solar lease program. The program is in partnership with J&A Solar Leasing, LLC, a locally owned leasing company. The new program complements Vibrant Solar’s very successful Residential Lease Program introduced earlier in 2010.

“Our new Commercial Lease is perfect for many small business clients,” said Mark Simmons, Vibrant’s Vice President, Sales & Marketing. “Companies can use the commercial solar lease to reduce capital expenses without incurring the capital cost.”
“Our 10kW system typically saves our small commercial clients about $3,600 per year on their electric bill. That really adds up.”

The Vibrant Solar Commercial Lease Program features zero dollars down and no payments until one month after the system is installed. Then the customer pays 80% of what they would have paid Xcel Energy for the electricity the solar produces. So, the company saves 20% on this operating cost.

“The system is effectively free,” said Simmons. “The company is already paying Xcel for the electricity, and then with our commercial lease, they are paying 20% less for the electricity and ultimately owning the solar panel system at the end of the lease.”

One of the primary differentiators for the Vibrant Solar Leasing Program over the competition is that both Vibrant Solar and J&A Solar Leasing are Colorado-based companies. “The majority of our Residential Lease customers chose Vibrant because we are locally-owned. The jobs are created right here and the money stays in Colorado,” Simmons said. “Home owners prefer to work with a company they can meet with in person, rather than over an 800 number and email. Our commercial customers are no different.”

Commercial customers can lease larger systems if they choose, but the best model is for 10 kilowatt systems because the rebate from Xcel Energy is optimized at that size. Simmons said that it is possible for customers to install multiple 10 kilowatt systems if they have more than one meter on their building. Vibrant Solar can provide individual lease agreements for each system.
