June 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Charkha – A instrument to spin cotton was brought up into light by Gandhi ji. It is not just a machine to spin the cotton but it is a tool by which Gandhi ji motivated the poor people to make earnings for themselves. Gandhi picked the Charkha because British colonial rule was wiping out India’s textile production. So this Charkha is a symbol of  our India’s tradition.

Motivated by the thoughts of Gandhi ji and to make an identity, an Indian man Narendra L Patil of Ahmedabad has created a unique and the smallest Charkha of the world. The size of this Charkha is 1.719cm long, 1.429cm wide, 2.461cm high which even weighs 1.36g in three days. Beginning on 10 August 2008.and finished on 13 August 2008.
