McKenna Long & Aldridge Partner Steven Masiello Earns Designation of Certified Management Accountant

June 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Steven Masiello, a partner in the Government Contracts practice of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA), has earned the credential of Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) from the Institute of Management Accountants. The CMA is the advanced professional certification specifically designed to measure accounting and financial management skills. Achieving the CMA credential demonstrates a mastery of financial and strategic planning, analysis, control and decision support as well as professional ethics.

Masiello’s practice is focused on government and commercial contract and regulatory matters. He counsels clients on government contract cost accounting and cost allowability matters and represents and advises clients on issues arising out of the Cost Accounting Standards, Cost Principles in the Federal Acquisition Regulation and OMB Circulars and the Truth in Negotiations Act, including resolving audit issues.

Prior to joining MLA, Masiello served on active duty as an officer in the United States Air Force. He was first assigned to Space and Missile Systems Center where he was responsible for contractual matters related to the engineering support provided to the Air Force by its Federally Funded Research and Development Center, The Aerospace Corporation.

Masiello received his J.D. from Loyola Law School and B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
