July 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Cambridge, England . BioPoint, the biomolecular separations and analysis company, today announced it had entered into a marketing and distribution agreement with BioStep GmbH of Jahnsdorf, Germany. Under the terms of the agreement BioPoint will offer and extensive range of illumination systems that are designed and developed by BioStep.
Transillumination of gels and other macro samples essentially requires flat and stable illumination across the surface of the viewed object and Biostep has developed a light diffusing system that makes an important contribution to achieving flat field illumination. Their range of products also incorporates stainless steel surface components for chemical resistance, durability and easy cleaning and optional UV filter and protection systems which goes some way in extending the life of the product in the laboratory.
BioStep offers a range of UV, Monochromatic, and Polychromatic transillumination systems summarized below
