The 30-year veteran performer has toured and recorded with the late Jaco Pastorius, Thomas Dolby, Lenny Kravitz, rock group Living Colour, singer/songwriter Sting, and even filmed episodes on FOX Television’s popular detective series “New York Undercover” (appearing on the show as a regular in “Natalie’s” The EP will include: The Wings of Time, You Dig?, Caribbean Woman, Ooga Booga, and All That You Do, all written and produced by Thomas. Musical personnel on the “Caribbean Woman” project (in addition to Butch Thomas) are drummers, Erik Stams and David Gwynne; guitarists, Henry Defoe and Derek Sivers; and bass player, Jason Rogers. Claiming residence in the United Kingdom after completing touring with Sting, Thomas returned to the United States in 2008 where he performed in such venues as “The Venue” in Clearwater, Florida and both the “Iridium Jazz Club” and the “Blue Note” in New York. There he was music director for various Jaco Pastorius tributes (Jacofests) along with benefits for Sting’s Rainforest Foundation. His ensembles for these events included noted musicians such as, Kenwood Dennard, Alex Foster, Lou Soloff, Lou Marini, singer Corey Glover and many others.
